Graphics sync with the Narrative Lectionary

The Narrative Alive graphics coordinate with the weekly Narrative Lectionary readings.

The Narrative Lectionary is a four-year-cycle of selected Scripture readings, from September through May.
The readings follow the biblical story from Creation through the early Christian church.
The texts are arranged in sequence to help people see the coherence and movement of scripture as a whole.

From September to mid-December, the readings are from the Old Testament.

The readings start in Genesis and move through the stories of Israel’s early history, the exodus, the kings, prophets, exile and return.
Different texts are selected for each of the four years.
The texts are arranged in a narrative sequence to help people see the coherence and dynamic movement of Scripture.

From Christmas to Easter the readings are from one of the four Gospels:

From Easter to Pentecost, the texts are chosen from Acts and Paul’s letters.
