Graphics Options
The Narrative Alive graphics are designed with careful thought about how they relate to the text. We've provided possible sermon themes for each graphic to help you choose the direction that best fits your sermon.
Option A
Do Our Cries Reach God?
Sermon themes:
•
In the Exodus narrative, God is portrayed as God who hears and sees the cries of the people.
•
God doesn’t condemn humanity’s concerns; instead, the cries of God’s people touch God’s heart.
•
God takes the initiative and gives precise instructions on how God will alleviate the people’s hunger.
Graphic description:
The graphic portrays one of the most common gestures we make when we need help—holding out our hands in hope of a response.
Option B
More than Just Food
Sermon themes:
•
After the singing and praising, God continues to show up, even when it’s difficult.
•
The special instructions on how to gather urge us to understand God’s provision from a place of abundance.
•
Physical sustenance is one issue, but trusting God to provide ALL that we need is another matter altogether.
Graphic description:
The gentle curve in the graphic suggests the shape of a cupped hand, holding and extending an outpouring of food—and much more.
Option C
God Leaves No Doubt
Sermon themes:
•
God delivers and liberates out of bondage, AND God is also a provider for the wandering.
•
God uses the personal pronoun “I,” showing the intimate relationship God is committed to.
•
God’s people will forever know God by name and call God “my God.”
Graphic description:
The bright, vivid "sun" in this graphic does not need any enhancement. It stands on its own, full of power and always present.
