Sermon themes:
We cannot jump straight to God's provision; instead, we have to sit with the discomfort and questions of the story.

God puts it all on the line and places tremendous trust in this partnership with Abraham. Is this a test for God or for Abraham?
Does Abraham not protest because he truly believes God will provide and show mercy?
God and Abraham never use he word “test”; it’s the narrator’s interpretation of the events.
Graphic description:
