Graphics Options
The Narrative Alive graphics are designed with careful thought about how they relate to the text. We've provided possible sermon themes for each graphic to help you choose the direction that best fits your sermon.
Option A
Scandalous Love
Sermon themes:
•
Love is shown through action, not power or position. Following Jesus calls us to a countercultural way of living.
•
On the last night, the Lord of All chooses the posture of servant, demonstrating the full extent of his love through humble service.
•
While being fully aware of the betrayal, rejection, and suffering that awaits him, Jesus washes feet.
Graphic description:
The powerful burst of color in this graphic represents just how astonishing it was in that culture for Jesus to take on the role of a servant and wash his disciples' dirty feet. It is both a scandalous act and an extraordinary act full of love.
Option B
The Long Night
Sermon themes:
•
In the shadow of the cross, Jesus serves and shows his love most clearly as darkness draws near.
•
Even in the night, Jesus’ love remains intentional, full, and complete. Hope is quietly at work before the dawn.
•
Before the betrayal and arrest, the long night begins with humble obedience, not triumph.

Option C
To the End
Sermon themes:
•
The world spits on him. His friends betray and reject him. But Jesus never wavers. He chooses love. As disciples, we are called to choose and embody this love.
•
Knowing the cross is coming, Jesus kneels to wash feet. Fully aware of what lies ahead, he spends quality, intimate time with his own to show his love.
•
Love persists even in denial and abandonment. Love “to the end” is costly, intentional. and personal.
